Greta Allen

Boston artist Greta Allen honed an American Impressionist technique with Joseph DeCamp at the Massachusetts School of Art, with Frank Benson at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School and later with George Noyes. She exhibited at the Copley Society in Boston and at the Boston Art Club. Allen was represented at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Arts in 1918 as well as at the Society of Arts and Crafts in Boston from 1897 to 1927. She had a one-woman exhibition at the Milwaukee Art Institute in 1931, and was included in the exhibition Art by American Women at Brenau College in 1991.
