Wolf Kahn
(b. 1927)

Wolf Kahn is an internationally recognized artist, with paintings in numerous public collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of Art, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

Kahn applies loose, abstract brush work to typically realist subject matter, these disparate measures unified by his bold use of swaths and arenas of color. Kahn is simultaneously an Abstractionist, a Realist, a Color Field painter and an Impressionist, forging a style entirely his own in the process.
